The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

If you had to choose between doing something and not doing something, what would you choose? This is a question that I have asked myself a few times. I have always thought that the answer was “Do something.” The question is how to do something without doing something. The answer is, “Don’t do anything.
The way I think of it is that you can do anything you want with no consequences. You can even do something you don’t want to, and still have no consequences. This is called self-awareness. If you don’t know what you want, you are free to say no, and you may even be able to choose not to do something. You can choose not to do something, and still have no negative repercussions.
Self-awareness is a big topic and I’m not going to explain it here for you, but I will say that you can choose to change your behavior in the event that a situation or situation is about to go the way you want it to go. Most of us have this ability. You can take a road or a path of your own choosing and drive it. You can choose to drive your car to the store and then drive your car home.
Self-awareness also depends on something called a “sense of self.” Self-awareness is the ability to notice that you are in touch with your feelings, impulses, and desires. It’s one of the most important qualities for a well-functioning human being to have.
