I’m not sure if I would choose a career in the dental field myself, but I know that the one thing dental hygienist jobs have on average is that you have to get in the practice ASAP. The field is growing so fast that one day the field might be taken over by a new tech that makes all of the old jobs obsolete (like me).
If you have dental hygienist experience, a lot of that experience can translate into higher wages with more variety for your patients. Although, if I were to have a career in the dental field, I would have to take a class in dental hygienist practice skills and that’s probably not going to be easy.
So far, my experience has been that dental hygienist jobs are not as common as they once were. They are still in demand, but not as high as they once were. The reason for that is that a lot of dental hygienist jobs are now being filled by people who have dental hygienist training, which I find is not that different than a typical dental hygienist job.
My experience is that dental hygienists are doing OK. Most of the people who are getting hired to fill the dental hygienist jobs are actually doing the job because they have dental hygienist training. The question is how long these dental hygienist jobs are going to last. The people who are getting these dental hygienist jobs do not seem to be staying for long.
I have a friend who works at a dental hygienist practice. He told me that his employer is considering having his practice closed because all of the hygienist’s are going to be getting laid off. I’m not sure how true this is, but it sounds like a real possibility. I also know that dental hygienists are often not paid a lot of money.
I think it is a little bit more obvious now that dental hygienists are getting laid off than it was before. Back in the early days of the job, a dental hygienist was a person who was basically supposed to be an X-ray specialist. They were the person who was supposed to make sure your teeth were healthy and the person who was supposed to clean your mouth. Now that X-ray specialist is becoming a dental hygienist.
I’m not sure that’s true, but it’s certainly possible. It’s true for dental hygienists, too. The dental hygienist gig is one of the most physically demanding jobs in the country, as a result of all the paperwork, appointments, and cleaning. I’ve heard it said that a dental hygienist who works 40 hours a week earns about $45,000.
For now, the dental hygienist jobs in the US are mostly in the areas of dental clinics (like those where you can get your teeth cleaned, not dental hygienist) and in the Midwest where there are no large urban centers. Still, the dental hygienist job is growing by leaps and bounds and in the next few years will probably become even more demanding.
