I recently began working for a new company in Chicago, and I have to say that the commute for this company is the #1 thing that upsets me. I would much rather be able to live where I work in a city I love with my friends and family. It’s also my second most hated commute to work…the fact that the company I work for has a huge office in a busy downtown building makes it even worse.

And while I would much rather be working remotely in a city I love with my friends and family, I don’t feel like living in one place for a while would be bad. It would be a while, but I would be happy. I would probably still have a car and a job though.

There are a lot of other reasons that exist for a person to move back to the city, and there are a lot of other benefits that come with being in the city. But for those reasons alone, I wouldnt hesitate to move back to the city for work.
